The US Department of Energy offered a conditional loan of $754.8 million through the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program to support construction of a second synthetic graphite facility at Enterprise South Industrial Park near Chattanooga. The facility is expected to produce 30,000 tonnes annually.
