Novo Nordisk completes its acquisition of Akero; efruxifermin joins its MASH pipeline
Novo Nordisk closed its purchase of Akero Therapeutics, which became a wholly owned subsidiary and left the Nasdaq. Shareholders received $54 a share in cash plus a right to $6 more per share on US approval of efruxifermin for compensated cirrhosis due to MASH.
