Nanoscope named Troy Short Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, to lead GMP manufacturing, commercial supply and global distribution for MOGENRY, its investigational optogenetic gene therapy for inherited retinal disease. The appointment comes while MOGENRY is under review in the US and Japan.

  • The FDA has accepted and filed the Biologics License Application for MOGENRY in retinitis pigmentosa with severe vision loss; it is under review.
  • Japan's New Drug Application is under PMDA review, which the company says was accepted for priority review.
  • Short was previously VP of Global Supply Chain at AveXis, where he led the Zolgensma commercial supply chain, and SVP of Manufacturing at Jaguar Gene Therapy.
  • The release describes approval and launch as potential; it does not say MOGENRY has been approved.
