Microsoft Azure brings online the first large GB300 NVL72 cluster, over 4,600 Blackwell Ultra GPUs for OpenAI

Microsoft Azure launched its NDv6 GB300 VM series on the first supercomputing-scale production cluster of NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems, with over 4,600 Blackwell Ultra GPUs linked by Quantum-X800 InfiniBand. The cluster is built for OpenAI's most demanding inference workloads on reasoning models and agentic AI systems.
