Marvel Fusion, Colorado and Siemens Energy sign a letter of intent on laser fusion; ATLAS due December 2026

Marvel Fusion signed a letter of intent with the State of Colorado and Siemens Energy covering joint research, supply chains and training. The $150-160 million ATLAS facility at Colorado State is slated for substantial completion in December 2026, with test runs in 2027-2031, a prototype in 2032 and commercial roll-out in 2036.

• ATLAS: three ultrashort-pulse lasers firing together at 7 petawatts.
• Marvel handles laser-target physics; Siemens Energy the turbines, grid link and storage.
