MAN starts series production of eTGX and eTGS trucks with megawatt charging
MAN Truck & BusMAN eTGX electric truck
MAN began regular production of eTGX and eTGS trucks with the Megawatt Charging System at its Munich plant, which it says makes it the first European maker to do so. MCS raises peak charging to 750 kW from 375 kW with CCS, so a six-pack, 534 kWh truck charges from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes. Customer deliveries have begun in nine countries.
- Seven-pack 623 kWh version charges 20-80% in under 40 minutes
- Up to 570 km per charge; over 1,000 km a day possible within normal driving hours
- First MCS trucks reach 750 kW, not yet a full megawatt
