DB Schenker takes delivery of the first ten MAN eTGX electric tractors

MAN handed DB Schenker its first ten eTGX battery-electric tractor units at the Munich plant, part of a 2023 letter of intent for 100 heavy electric trucks by 2026. The trucks are a high-volume 'Ultra' version for mega trailers and run routes such as Dortmund-Hannover in two shifts. Range is up to 500 km, with CCS charging up to 375 kW and optional megawatt charging.

  • Four, five or six battery packs; 330 kW or 400 kW drive power
  • Operated by TIP Group; subsidised through Germany's KsNI programme
  • Separate letter of intent for 50 MAN eTGL 12-tonne trucks for city delivery
