Lotte Shopping opens first Ocado Smart Platform CFC in South Korea; market expands to Asia
South Korean conglomerate Lotte Shopping opened its first automated Ocado Smart Platform CFC in Busan on August 9, 2026, serving approximately 4 million households across the Yeongnam region. The facility features Ocado's AutoFreezer for frozen goods at −25°C, on-grid robotic picking arms, and dawn delivery (pre-7am). It is designed as Ocado's most environmentally efficient CFC globally with a fully electric vehicle delivery fleet.
