Ledger launches Nano Gen5 with E Ink touchscreen and renames Ledger Live as Ledger Wallet
LedgerLedger signers (Nano, Flex, Stax) & Ledger Wallet
At its Op3n event in Paris, Ledger launched the Nano Gen5, the first Nano with a touchscreen, at $179, alongside a redesigned app renamed Ledger Wallet and a multisig platform for banks and custodians. The company now calls its hardware wallets signers, pitching them as approval and identity devices, not just coin storage.
- Nano Gen5: E Ink touchscreen, Bluetooth, NFC, $179; designed with Tony Fadell and Susan Kare.
- Features include clear signing, transaction checks and a Recovery Key backup card.
- Ledger Wallet adds DeFi swaps via 1inch and cash-to-stablecoin conversion via Noah.
- An enterprise multisig product targets banks, custodians and governments.
