Jeff Bezos unveils the Blue Moon lunar lander and its BE-7 hydrogen engine in Washington, D.C.
Bezos unveiled Blue Moon, a lunar lander designed to carry 6.5 metric tons of payload to the moon's surface, powered by the new BE-7 engine producing 10,000 pounds of thrust. The system will fly on Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket, supporting NASA's goal of returning astronauts to the moon by 2024.
