IQM announces Halocene product line for quantum error correction research with 150-qubit first system due end of 2026
IQM announced the Halocene product line, an open and modular quantum computer designed for quantum error correction research. The first system is a 150-qubit machine built on the IQM Crystal QPU with a target gate fidelity of 99.7%, planned for commercial availability by end of 2026. The roadmap includes systems exceeding 1,000 qubits, with a company goal of achieving fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2030.
- First Halocene system targets 150 qubits and 99.7% physical two-qubit gate fidelity
- Supports research on up to five logical qubits using Clifford gates
- Features transparent quantum error correction stack with modular decoder architecture
- Supports NVIDIA NVQLink for quantum-classical hybrid computing
- Commercial availability planned for end of 2026
