IONOS becomes Q.ANT's first commercial customer for photonic AI servers

Q.ANT/Photonic Native Processing Unit

European cloud provider IONOS will deploy Q.ANT's Native Processing Server later in 2026 and offer it to its business users, the first commercial sale after deployments at LRZ and Jülich. Q.ANT positions the photonic NPU as a co-processor alongside GPUs, not a replacement.

• IONOS has about 6.8 million customers in 17 markets.
• LRZ evaluation found up to 100x performance over Q.ANT's first generation.
• Q.ANT opened a US office in Austin in April 2026.
