Intel launches Panther Lake, its first 18A processors, at CES
Intel launched Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake), the first PC processors built on its 18A process, designed and made in the US. The chips feature a scalable multi-chiplet architecture, up to 16 performance and efficiency cores with over 50% faster CPU performance than the prior generation, and up to 12 Arc GPU Xe cores with 50% faster graphics.
- Panther Lake is Intel's first client processor on 18A, the most advanced US-made semiconductor process.
- 50% faster CPU performance and 50% faster graphics vs. previous generation.
- Over 200 partner designs will use the chips in a broad market launch in January 2026.
- First SKUs ship in late 2025; broad availability begins in January 2026.
