Google DeepMindVeo

Google released Veo 3.1 with richer generated audio, more narrative control, and more realistic textures, plus new editing tools in its Flow filmmaking app. Sound now works with Flow features such as turning images or start/end frames into video; Flow users had made over 275 million videos in five months.

  • Audio support extends to Ingredients-to-Video (reference images), Frames-to-Video (start/end frames), and Extend (longer videos).
  • New editing tools: Insert (add elements with realistic shadows/lighting) and Remove (delete objects with natural background reconstruction).
  • Enhanced prompt adherence and true-to-life textures; available via Flow, Gemini API, Vertex AI, and Gemini app.
