Germany buys eight MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones through NATO's procurement agency

Germany ordered eight maritime MQ-9B SeaGuardians and four ground control stations through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency. They will work alongside Germany's P-8A patrol aircraft, with first deliveries expected in 2028.
- Fitted with satellite control, de-icing, two surface-search radars and detect-and-avoid; anti-submarine kit is optional.
- Bought through NSPA's MQ-9 Support Partnership framework.
- Other MQ-9B buyers named: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, India, Japan, Poland, Taiwan and the UK.
