G42, OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, SoftBank announce Stargate UAE, a 1 GW datacenter in Abu Dhabi
OpenAI and partners G42, Oracle, NVIDIA, SoftBank, and Cisco announced Stargate UAE, a 1 GW AI datacenter cluster in Abu Dhabi within a broader 5 GW UAE-US AI Campus. The 20 billion USD partnership marks Stargate's first international expansion. G42 is building the cluster while OpenAI and Oracle will operate it. The first 200 MW phase is targeted for completion by end of 2026, with the UAE becoming the first country to provide national ChatGPT access.
