Foxconn and NVIDIA announce humanoid robot deployment at Houston AI server factory

Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry)Houston AI Server Factory

Foxconn announced at NVIDIA's developer conference that it will deploy NVIDIA's Isaac GR00T N humanoid robots on the production line at its Houston AI server factory, starting in Q1 2026. The robots, trained in NVIDIA's Isaac Sim simulation environment, will handle cable insertion, parts placement, and other assembly tasks for GB300 servers. The Houston facility uses NVIDIA's full smart-factory stack: Omniverse for planning, PhysicsNeMo for thermal analysis, and Metropolis for quality monitoring.

  • First deployment of humanoid robots on a high-volume server production line for a major electronics manufacturer.
  • Robots trained in simulation before deployment, reducing training time in real factories.
  • Factory integrates NVIDIA's complete smart-manufacturing software suite for planning, thermal management, and quality control.
  • Production ramp expected to begin Q1 2026.
