Ford Motor CompanyF-150 Lightning EREV

Ford said the next-generation F-150 Lightning will be an extended-range electric vehicle: electric motors drive the wheels and a high-power generator supplies extra range, for an estimated 700+ miles. Production of the current battery-only Lightning ends this year, and the new truck will be built at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn. Launch timing and details will come later.

  • Estimated range above 700 miles with the generator
  • Keeps exportable power for work sites, campsites and homes in outages
  • Assembled at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, Dearborn, Michigan
  • Doug Field, Ford's chief EV, digital and design officer, said it 'tows like a locomotive'
