Filecoin Onchain Cloud launched on mainnet March 26, 2026, enabling smart-contract payments, automatic dual-copy replication across independent providers, and onchain Proof of Data Possession. By the first week, 49.41 TiB of data was stored across 478 active datasets, with 81 payment wallets actively purchasing storage. The platform allows autonomous AI agents to purchase decentralized storage without centralized accounts or credit cards.
