EU adopts rules for gene-edited crops; Inari, which has a lab in Ghent, sees a path to European farmers
The European Parliament voted to adopt a framework for New Genomic Techniques, a lighter approval route for lower-risk gene-edited crops. Inari, which runs a gene-editing site in Ghent, Belgium, said this opens EU markets and reduces export uncertainty for products it already sells in the US, such as its High Yield Designs for soybeans.
