Edge Medical lists in Hong Kong, raising about HK$1.2B; shares jump 36% on debut
Shenzhen-based Edge Medical listed on the Hong Kong main board under the rules for pre-profit biotech and medtech firms, raising about HK$1.2 billion. Cornerstone investors included the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, UBS, Tencent, OrbiMed and ChinaAMC. The company calls itself the first in China, and second worldwide, with approved multi-port, single-port and natural-orifice surgical robots.
