Denmark, Finland, Germany and Norway announce plan to buy up to five MQ-4C Tritons for NATO
Four NATO allies announced at the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum in Ankara that they intend to buy up to five Tritons. The aircraft would add maritime surveillance to NATO's own fleet alongside its Alliance Ground Surveillance fleet at Sigonella, Italy. Northrop builds the aircraft; Airbus and other European firms would provide the ground segment and support.
