Da Vinci key designs completed; construction planned for late 2026 with first power targeted for 2031
TAE Technologies announced completion of key designs for Da Vinci, its first commercial-scale 50 MWe fusion power plant. The company is advancing through the siting approval process with plans to begin construction in the second half of 2026, targeting first fusion power generation in 2031. This milestone follows the successful Norm research demonstration in 2025, which eliminated the need for the planned Copernicus intermediate step.
