Citrea launches mainnet with the Clementine BitVM bridge and a MoonPay-issued stablecoin, ctUSD

Citrea (Chainway Labs)/Citrea rollup and Clementine bridge

Citrea went live as a rollup that runs transactions off Bitcoin and uses Bitcoin for settlement. BTC enters as cBTC through Clementine, built on BitVM and zero-knowledge proofs, which the team says needs only one honest party to detect and stop illegal activity.

• ctUSD is issued by MoonPay on M0 infrastructure and available in the US and 160 other countries.
• Live at launch: DEXs Satsuma, JuiceSwap and Fibrous, plus lending on Morpho.
