BYD unveils Blade Battery 2.0 and 1,500 kW flash charging; charges 10-97% in 9 minutes
BYD announced Blade Battery 2.0, its second-generation battery with LMFP chemistry and silicon-carbon anodes, designed to charge from 10% to 97% in 9 minutes. The battery offers 5% higher energy density than the original Blade and is deployed across 10 vehicle models backed by 4,239 flash charging stations in China, with plans to reach 20,000 by end of 2026.
