Bright Machines adds Hybrid BRC, letting operators work inside sensor-monitored robotic cells
Bright MachinesBright Factory platform
Bright Machines added Hybrid BRC to its Bright Factory platform, which assembles servers for AI data centres. It lets a human operator step inside a sensor-monitored robotic cell to do the steps that still need human dexterity, while the cell keeps recording and checking each action. Normally a manual step means stopping the line or moving the unit to an offline station, which breaks the per-unit production record.
- The aim is an unbroken record for each unit from first component to shipping label, so a later failure can be traced to the exact step that caused it.
- BRC stands for Bright Robotic Cell, the company's standard automated assembly cell.
- Earlier Bright Machines deployments assembled up to 50 servers per hour with a 98% first-pass yield (units passing tests without rework).
