Boston Dynamics adds the Spot Arm, a self-charging Spot Enterprise with dock, and Scout remote-operation software
Boston Dynamics introduced three Spot product additions: Spot Arm, a manipulator for grasping, valve operation and door opening; Spot Enterprise, a self-charging version that docks autonomously for extended unattended missions; and Scout, web-based software for remote fleet control. More than 400 Spots were deployed at nuclear plants, offshore oil fields, mines and construction sites.
- Spot Arm enables semi-autonomous manipulation and telemanipulation to grasp, lift and operate valves and doors
- Spot Enterprise docks and recharges for autonomous missions with little human interaction; enhanced safety hardware
- Scout enables remote virtual control room operation for continuous autonomous missions on hazardous worksites
- Over 400 Spots deployed across nuclear, offshore oil, mining and construction environments
