Boeing delays first 777X delivery to 2027 and takes a $4.9 billion charge
Boeing pushed the first 777X delivery from 2026 to 2027 and booked a $4.9 billion charge in its third quarter. CEO Kelly Ortberg blamed the certification process rather than newly found technical problems. It is the latest of several slips for a jet once due in service around 2020.
