Bluefors installs 18 cryogenic systems, including a KIDE platform, at Japan's AIST G-QuAT quantum centre

Bluefors delivered and installed 18 fully wired cryogenic systems at AIST's new G-QuAT centre in Tsukuba, Japan, which opened on 18 May 2025. One is a KIDE platform with the cooling and wiring for a 1,000-plus-qubit quantum computer. The centre works on combining quantum and classical computing.

• 1 KIDE platform plus 17 other cryogenic measurement systems.
• Installation took about six weeks.
• G-QuAT aims to develop quantum-classical computing, real use cases and device testing standards.
