Bayraktar Kizilelma successfully fires beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile, achieving world's first unmanned air-to-air kill
Bayraktar's Kizilelma jet-powered unmanned fighter successfully fired a GÖKDOĞAN beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile over the Sinop firing range in Turkey and destroyed a target drone in November 2025. The entire kill chain—platform, radar (AESA) and missile—was Turkish-designed and manufactured, marking the first air-to-air destruction by an unmanned combat aircraft.
