Baidu launched its sixth-generation robotaxi at Apollo Day in Wuhan priced at 200,000 yuan (about $27,700), 60% less than the previous generation. It planned 1,000 deployments in Wuhan by year-end 2024, targeting break-even that year; the new generation also cut operating costs 30% and service costs potentially 80%.
