AutoFlight's CarryAll flies unmanned tea run over Guizhou mountains
AutoFlightCarryAll (autonomous cargo eVTOL)
AutoFlight flew its CarryAll cargo eVTOL without a pilot between two Guizhou cities, carrying fresh spring tea. The tea then went on by high-speed rail to Shanghai, and the company says the combined air and rail route delivered it the same day.
- The eVTOL leg covered about 120 km between Anshun and Guiyang in 37 minutes over mountainous terrain.
- The rail leg from Guiyang to Shanghai is nearly 2,000 km.
- The release gives the aircraft's maximum payload as 400 kg but does not state the load carried on this flight.
- AutoFlight says it will extend the air-plus-rail model to more specialty agricultural regions with partners.
