In the SOLSTICE Phase 2b trial (n=404), elecoglipron reduced HbA1c by 1.9% at 26 weeks in adults with type 2 diabetes. The 7.7% body weight reduction at 26 weeks (versus 1.7% placebo) shows the drug combines glucose control with weight loss, a profile that could serve as an oral alternative to weekly injected GLP-1 therapies.
