The US Army's DEVCOM C5ISR Center tested Amazon Leo's satellite network in a live demo at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, announced October 13, 2026. More than 30 Army representatives attended the session, which used Amazon's Leo Pro customer antenna.

  • Peak download speeds exceeded 400 Mbps, above the antenna's rated maximum of 400 Mbps, as newly deployed satellites passed overhead.
  • Amazon says it has more than 1,000 satellites manufactured and nearly 400 in low Earth orbit.
  • Follow-on tests are planned for higher-speed connections, mobile scenarios and integration with existing Army tactical networks.
  • The release says the demo was held 'recently' and gives no exact date.
