Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will mass-produce its Baltra AI server chips from the second half of 2026

AppleBaltra (AI server chip)

Supply-chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple's first dedicated AI server chips would enter mass production in the second half of 2026. The chips run AI requests such as Siri in the cloud, and Apple is expected to expand its own data centers to house them. Apple has not confirmed the plan.

  • The chips are for inference: answering requests, not training models.
  • Reports say Broadcom worked with Apple on the chips' chiplets.
  • Work on specialised Apple AI data centers could begin in 2027.
