AMD launches Instinct MI300X with 192 GB of HBM3

AMD announced availability of the Instinct MI300X accelerator with 192 GB HBM3 memory and 5.3 TB/s peak memory bandwidth for generative AI, along with ROCm 6 software. Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Meta, Microsoft, Oracle and Supermicro showed MI300 systems.

  • Instinct MI300X: 192 GB HBM3 memory, 5.3 TB/s peak bandwidth for generative AI workloads; CDNA 3 architecture with roughly 40% more compute units than MI250X.
  • ROCm 6 software stack delivers approximately 8x performance improvements on MI300 Series versus prior generation systems.
