AMD completes acquisition of Xilinx
AMD completed its all-stock acquisition of Xilinx for $48.8 billion ($46.4B net of cash acquired), adding Xilinx's FPGAs, Adaptive SoCs and ACAPs to AMD's CPU and GPU portfolios. Former Xilinx CEO Victor Peng joined AMD as president of the new Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group.
