Solar and wind power

Alkaline electrolysis

Split water into H2 and O2

KOH electrolyte, iron electrode. H2 bubbles at cathode. Mature, durable at scale.

Haber-Bosch synthesis

H2 + N2 → NH3

Iron catalyst, 150-300 bar, 400-500°C. Air Products N2 from air separation.

Distribution

Air Products global offtake

Air Products buys and ships all ammonia globally via existing networks.
