The brief
- Fire Point builds the FP-1, Ukraine's primary long-range loitering munition. Over 5,000 built.
- The FP-1 costs $55,000–75,000 and can strike targets 2,500+ km away, as shown by hits on Russian refineries.
- Production capacity of 100+ per day makes it one of the highest-volume drone programs in combat.
Technical approach
Loitering munition
The FP-1 carries a warhead and is designed to hit a target and detonate; it does not return to base, simplifying design and reducing cost.
Long-range targeting
GPS and inertial guidance allow strikes at extreme range. Operators can switch targets mid-flight to adapt to changing battlefield conditions.
High-volume manufacturing
Simplified design and rapid assembly allow over 100 units per day, sustaining Ukraine's drone campaign.
