The brief
- Digit reports 65,000+ working hours at 9 customer sites, including GXO, Schaeffler, Toyota and Mercado Libre.
- The listing (ticker AGLT) should raise about $620M. Contracted Digit v5 orders top $300M.
- Digit v5 is built to work safely near people without fences, a safety approval the field is waiting for.
Technical approach
Legs built for efficient walking
Digit's legs come from the Cassie research robot. Springy, backward-bending legs make walking efficient and hard to knock over.
One job, done over and over
Digit moves totes between conveyors, shelves and carts with simple grippers, not hands. Less flexible, but more reliable today.
Arc fleet platform
Arc links Digit fleets to warehouse software, hands out work and tracks uptime, which is what customers pay for.
Safe near people
Digit v5 has built-in safety features so it can share space with people, needed before it can leave fenced areas.

Open technical problems
- Safety rules for balancing robotsActive research
A walking robot can't just freeze when it sees a person, or it falls. Safety standards for this are still being written.
- Cost per taskOpen
Digit must move totes as cheaply as conveyors and wheeled robots, while being more flexible.
