Current obstacles

Infrastructure scalingMegawatt chargers are rare on highways. Until charging is ubiquitous as diesel pumps, fleets hesitate on all-electric, especially unpredictable routes.
Purchase price versus diesel trucksCosts significantly more upfront than diesel equivalents. Fleet economics depend on electricity prices, usage patterns and financing terms.

Physics limits

Battery energy densityLithium chemistry stores roughly 250 Wh per kg. A 600 kWh battery for a truck weighs about 2,400 kg, taking up payload capacity. More range requires larger batteries, not just engineering tricks.
Charging time versus diesel refuellingEven at 400 kW, a full recharge takes 60+ minutes. Diesel refuelling takes 5–10 minutes. Driver break regulations help (mandatory rest every few hours), but surprise demand or delays still cause issues.

Dual electric motors on one axle

Two motors via 4-speed automatic. Dual design provides continuous power and peak acceleration. Instant max torque, unlike diesel.

Energy storage

Three modular battery packs

Three 207 kWh units (621 kWh total) charge independently. Modular design allows serviceability and flexible scaling for different truck classes.

Charging

CCS fast charging with megawatt capability

Charges at up to 400 kW on standard CCS. Electrical architecture designed for 400+ kW from the start, future-proofing for emerging megawatt chargers.
