xAI released Grok Imagine as a developer API that generates video from text or images, with sound made in the same pass, and edits existing clips. It is offered directly and through partner platforms.

• Editing covers adding, removing or swapping objects, changing lighting and weather, and restyling.
• Partners at launch included fal.ai, ComfyUI, InVideo, Flora and HeyGen.
• xAI cited a first place for text-to-video on Artificial Analysis and editing wins over Kling o1 and Runway Aleph in its own comparisons.
