Vega C VV29 places ESA and CAS SMILE X-ray satellite into orbit

Vega C VV29 launched 19 May 2026, deploying SMILE (ESA and Chinese Academy of Sciences X-ray observatory) to orbit. First Vega C launch under Avio's independent operations from French Guiana, ending the historical Arianespace joint venture.
