Tesla/Unboxed Assembly Process

Tesla completed its first Cybercab using the Unboxed assembly process in February 2026 and began formal production at Giga Texas in April 2026. The Unboxed method parallelizes sub-assembly building, cutting the production line to half its normal length and enabling production speeds 5+ times faster than conventional automotive manufacturing. Paid customer rides began in Austin on September 4, 2026.
