Lockheed MartinSikorsky S-70UAS U-Hawk

Sikorsky showed U-Hawk at the AUSA 2025 show: a UH-60L Black Hawk with its cockpit and crew stations removed, fitted with fly-by-wire controls and its MATRIX autonomy system. Freeing the crew space gives 25% more room for cargo. The company says it went from concept to demonstrator in under ten months and targets a first flight in 2026.

  • Carries four standard military containers instead of two, a HIMARS pod of six rockets or two Naval Strike Missiles.
  • Cargo hook lifts 9,000 lb (4,080 kg).
  • Self-deploys more than 1,600 nautical miles or loiters up to 14 hours.
  • An operator controls the mission from a tablet; there are no pilots or controls aboard.
  • Sikorsky pitches the conversion as quick and cheap to repeat on existing used airframes.
