Seedance 2.0 released with unified audio-video generation
ByteDance unveiled Seedance 2.0, a multimodal video generation system that synthesizes audio and video simultaneously. Unlike prior models that generate video then add audio, Seedance uses a unified Dual-Branch Diffusion Transformer. It generates 4-15 second videos at native 480p-720p, supports rich multimodal inputs (text, images, video, audio), and achieved Elo 1,269 on Artificial Analysis as of March 2026, ranking #2 globally.
