Riverlane roadmap targets a million error-free quantum operations before 2030 and a trillion from 2033
Riverlane published a roadmap and whitepaper arguing its error-correction technology can bring useful quantum computing 3–5 years sooner. It sets three steps, each 1,000 times more reliable operations: a million (MegaQuOp) before the end of the decade, a billion in the early 2030s, and a trillion from 2033, which it calls the start of utility scale.
- MegaQuOp: quantum computers beat supercomputers on a narrow set of problems.
- GigaQuOp: a first wave of commercial applications.
- Partners: over 20 hardware makers and national labs across all major qubit types.
- Its 2024 plan had aimed for MegaQuOp as early as end-2026.
