Rio Tinto ships first commercial lithium carbonate from Rincon starter plant in Argentina

Rio Tinto exported the first 200 tonnes of lithium carbonate from the Rincon starter plant in Argentina to Shanghai, China, reaching commercial-scale production six months ahead of the full expansion timeline. The starter plant is designed to produce 3,000 tonnes per year of battery-grade lithium carbonate.
