Rigetti launches Ankaa-3 with 99.5% median two-qubit fidelity

Rigetti publicly launched its 84-qubit Ankaa-3 system with a broad hardware redesign that halved error rates from 2023. The system achieved 99.0% median iSWAP gate fidelity and 99.5% median fSim gate fidelity, with gate times of 72 nanoseconds. It became available on Rigetti's quantum cloud and is scheduled to reach Amazon Braket and Microsoft Azure in Q1 2025.
