Protolabs acquires 3D Hubs for $280M to build a global on-demand manufacturing network

Protolabs acquired the Amsterdam-based 3D Hubs manufacturing marketplace for $280M in cash and stock, plus $50M for performance targets. The deal aimed to give Protolabs a global network of 250+ manufacturing partners and expand beyond its core facilities.
